Anxiety & Depression.
Are you struggling with anxiety or depression? Don’t suffer alone. Call us. We can help. You’re not alone in your struggle. The symptoms for depression and anxiety disorders are not the same for everyone and the treatment should be tailored for each individual. There are doctor prescribed medications that can help you “feel” better, and have helped many individuals continue to function in their daily lives. However, research shows that the combination of medication and psychotherapy work best.
We will work together to help you find better ways of coping with the anxiety and/or depression. We like to start with getting to know you in a safe, comfortable environment. We want to help you feel relaxed, accepted, and genuinely cared for. We will be here with you as you discover strengths you didn’t know you have. We will share with you the methods others have found effective in reducing their symptoms and you can try them for yourself. You will choose which methods work best for you. We are here to support and encourage you on your journey to feeling better.
Anger
Do your friends and family members say you have a short fuse? Do you lose your temper about random, frivolous things? Lots of people do. We can help you find the source of your anger, process it appropriately, and move out of its grip. Call us and get on your way beyond anger management to a place of personal calm and peace. Together, we’ll follow the path back to where anger began to show up, how it takes over your life, and how you can win your life back. While we can’t promise you’ll never lose your temper again, you can have fewer episodes that won’t get as bad as they’ve been.
Guilt & Shame
Have you asked yourself how you could keep doing the same “bad” thing over and over again? When will you ever get it right? Do you wonder if the cycle of self-destruction will ever end? Together, we’ll find out if the behavior is a result of feeling guilt or shame. Guilt and shame are like two sides to the same coin. Guilt is what we experience when we “do” something wrong. Shame is the experience of believing we “are” something wrong. They seem the same to many people and you might be confused about which one you experience. We can help you overcome guilt and shame so you find a place of freedom that enables healthier, more nurturing choices. We offer a safe, nonjudgmental, and confidential space to examine how guilt and/or shame came into your life. We partner with you to explore the areas you feel defeated and demoralized. Then, we’ll encourage you as you make the necessary adjustments in your thinking and behavior that will enable you to feel more self-accepting and confident.
Grief
You probably knew you’d grieve for a while when you lost your loved one, pet, or any other loss. But, what if you’ve found that your sadness is getting worse with time instead of better? Do you feel like you’re stuck? Your family and friends may have stopped trying to help you with your sadness. They tell you to get some help, or avoid you altogether. You may be experiencing complicated grief. If time and your attempts of getting through your grief have not helped, let’s work together to help you through steps that have helped get their life back on track.
Spiritual Concerns
Have you struggled to “be” good or “do” good only to realize you fail over and over again? Do you wonder how you’ll ever be able to get it right and live the “right” way? Perhaps you feel you’ve done too much for God to ever love or accept you. Many of us struggle with these questions. I want to help you experience knowing you are deeply loved and completely acceptable. Together, we will explore what it means to “Be Transformed”. You will get to know God as “Father”, Christ as “Redeemer”, and Holy Spirit as “Helper”. You’ll come to be more compassionate with yourself. We’ll walk together as you find the joy and freedom you are meant to live in. Take the first step and contact me today. You’ll be glad you did.
Trauma
Trauma can come from many experiences, including physical or emotional abuse, or catastrophic events. All of these experiences can leave you feeling scared, worried, angry, alone, ashamed, and much more. You don’t have to let your life be ruled by the trauma you experienced. I’ll meet you where you are and help you heal. I can help you find ways to take the power away from the traumatic event and empower you to live the life you want.
Work/Life Balance
Most people, at some point, struggle with balancing work and home life. In this fast-paced world, it’s easy to stretch yourself in too many directions and be left with not enough for you. What I can help you achieve is a balance wherein you can be satisfied with your work life and your home life by helping you identify what you truly value, what’s stopping you from getting what you want and need, and then tailor your life to bring those values fully alive.
